How to Transfer Contacts
The above line is totally over rated.... piece of junk... hehehe.... Moving onto the second part of the guide.....
How to Transfer Contacts
The best way to accomplish
transferring all your contacts from your iPhone to your Android device is by
simply using Apple’s cloud system.
- Log into iCloud via your computer.
- Select the contacts that you want to export
- either one by one
- or click on the gear and use Select All
- Click the gear again and select Export vCard. Your computer will download a VCF file containing the selected contacts. The name of the file will be explicit as for how many contacts were exported
- Plug your Android phone to the computer, copy the VCF file to the local storage and import the contacts from the Contacts or People app.
Both Contacts and People
applications feature an option that allows you to add contacts from various
sources. Since you saved it to your SD card, you will select the Import from
storage source.
In case your device does not allow
SD card….. simply send it to your mail and then download it from your mail on
your device. :P
Transferring Whatsapp Chats
Next Interesting part is to transfer your Whatsapp Chat's to your new device. This also involves using 3rd party S/w…
so do it at your own discretion …..
Firstly, in the backup which you have already made as per
part1, you have to extract one particular file named as “ChatStorage.sqlite”
Secondly, the simplest step of all, transfer this file to
your android device & install the s/w Wazzap Migrator.
Step 1 ) How to get ChatStorage.sqlite from your backup
·
Download iPhone Backup Extractor (free version)
from http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com
Now you just need to transfer ChatStorage.sqlite
to your Android device in the WazzapMigrator folder.
Step 2) After
Extraction & transfer , install the s/w Wazzap Migrator
When you have the ChatStorage.sqlite
you just need to copy it to your Android device, in any way
you want. WazzapMigrator will auto-search ChatStorage.sqlite in
those folders
- Downloads
- WazzapMigrator
Note 1) Do all these steps before you install Whatsapp on your
device, after installation, open Whatsapp once for the folder of Whatsapp to get
created and then reinstall the app again for all the chats to appear in your
new device.
Note 2) All your previous chats will have the prefix as
LITE-, if you don’t want these prefixes kindly install full version of Wazzap
migrator
Note 3) If you want all your media also to appear, then also
you have to use the full version of the Wazzap migrator..
